The best Mexican food in paradise city 78666 SMTX. Employees are awesome and down to earth customers

I've been eating here since 1996 and it's always been great food and super reasonably priced. Love their fajitas, enchiladas and awesome hot sauce. It's a hole in the wall but that's what I like in a Mexican restaurant. Great lunch specials too.

The service was quick and very friendly. The food came out fresh, piping hot and was delicious! Plenty of seating and every diner was enjoying their food and the place was lively with conversation. It was our first visit and we will be back!

Best horchata I've had at a restaurant! Service was okay, food was great!! I got the Mexican lunch (carne guisada) and I'd definitely recommend!

This place is an absolute institution. So much has changed in San Marcos, but this place is still good and still BYOB.

Good food, I really like the hamburgers and chicken fried steak. Hidden spot in a neighborhood. Menudo is amazing

Don't judge a book by its cover. This place may not be located in the Taj Mahal, but the food is incredible! $7 lunch specials here that will feed the hungriest of people. The salsa is amazing and has just the right amount of heat. My husband loved the queso so much he had to order more with his meal. It's worth driving just a little further off the highway, literally just a few more blocks. Thanks for the great meal while we were visiting San Marcos. We will plan our next trip through so that we can be back here for lunch or dinner!

Loved this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Outside it looks rough. Inside it looks loved. The chips were nice and chunky. The salsa had a great kick. This wasn't mild, but it was great. The queso was amongst the best I have had. I ordered the Chicken Mole but about half way thru the wait was informed they ran out of Mole sauce. Would have liked to have known that earlier, but this is way too small of a spot to have everything in quantity. Instead I ordered the taco plate. Next time, I'll just order three tacos. The tacos were the best I've had in a LONG time. I went all over New Braunfels looking for the best taqueria and this would definitely rate amongst the best. The rice was above average, but the refried beans were terrible. They really need a new supplier or recipe on this one. I'd go again and maybe try the mole or tamales but definitely the tacos are a go to item.
